Davor Krsnik has been employed at the Department of Linguistics since 2012, when he enrolled in the Postgraduate doctoral study in Linguistics at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at University of Zagreb. He defended his thesis entitled Complex and secondary predicates in the Croatian language exemplified by constructions with predicate instrumental and word kao and obtained a PhD in 2021 with summa cum laude. He has published several papers in the field of syntax and discourse analysis. His research is focused on the syntax of complex and secondary predication as well as description of suprasentential structures from the perspective of construction grammar. He teaches various courses at the Chair of Semiology and the Chair of General Linguistics.
