To complete the graduate program in Comparative Linguistics, a student must, over the course of 10 semesters, take the following courses and fulfill their requirements:
• LI1001: General Linguistics
• LI1002: Indo-European Linguistics
• LI1101: Phonology
• LI1102: Morphology
• LI1103: Syntax
• LI1104: Semantics
• L1211: Indo-European Morphology
• L1212: Indo-European Reading of Latin Texts
• L1213: Linguistic Propaedeutics
• L1214: Linguistic Typology
• L1311: Comparative Grammar of Indo-European Languages
• L1312: Introduction to the Indo-European Language
• L1313: Reading of Old Irish Texts
• At least 3 L1401
• At least 2 L1402
- B. Bachelors of Arts, philological and neophilological undergraduate programs
Within the 7th and the 8th semester, they must take the following supplemental courses and pass the exams:
• LI1011: Introduction to General Linguistics
• L1002: Indo-European Linguistics
• L1211: Indo-European Morphology
- C. Bachelors of Arts, other undergraduate programs
Within the 7th and the 8th semester, they must take the following supplemental courses and pass the exams:

- Credit points from the following courses offered by other departments will be added to the total credit within the graduate program in Comparative Linguistics:
• Sanskrit, Vedic or Avestic Seminar (Indology)
• Historical grammar of Ancient Greek or Latin (Classical Philology)
• Anthropological Linguistics (Anthropology)
• Courses in non-Indo-European and Indo-European Languages (Indology, Sinology, Japanology)
• Comparative Slavic Grammar (Slavic or Croatian Studies)
